01 What is Meetmeter
Meetmeter is a free, browser-based tool that calculates the real-time economic cost of meetings based on participant roles and hourly rates. It runs entirely in your browser. No account is required. No data is sent to any server.
By using meetmeter.io — the calculator, the blog, or any other part of the site — you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
02 Your data and privacy
Everything you enter into Meetmeter — rates, participant counts, meeting history, session labels — is stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage. It never reaches our servers. We cannot read it, access it, or delete it on your behalf.
If you clear your browser data, your history is gone. There is no account to recover it from. The tool is stateless on our side by design — your data is yours, and only yours.
The Meetmeter website and blog may use analytics tools to understand traffic at an aggregate level. These may set cookies. You can opt out via your browser settings. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
If you use Meetmeter with real salary data for identifiable employees, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable data protection law, including the GDPR if you are based in the EU.
03 Intellectual property
All content on meetmeter.io — the calculator, design, code, blog articles, and copy — is the intellectual property of the Meetmeter project, unless otherwise stated.
Share links freely. Quote short excerpts from blog posts with attribution and a link back. Use calculator output — costs, summaries, screenshots — in internal presentations or reports. That’s what the tool is for.
Reproduce or republish Meetmeter’s content in full without written permission. Rebrand or resell Meetmeter as your own product or service. Use Meetmeter’s name or visual identity in a way that implies endorsement without prior agreement.
04 Acceptable use
You agree to use Meetmeter only for lawful purposes consistent with its intended function. You agree not to:
Reverse-engineering or tampering with the service or its infrastructure. Generating fabricated cost data to deceive any person or organisation. Scraping or bulk-copying content using automated tools without written permission. Any use that infringes the rights of others, including data protection rights of individuals whose salary data you may enter.
05 No warranty
Meetmeter is provided «as is» without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
The figures Meetmeter produces are estimates based on the data you enter. They are useful approximations — not precise financial or accounting outputs. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for financial or employment decisions without independent verification.
06 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Meetmeter and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed €100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by local law.
07 Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain. EU consumers may also access the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the «Last updated» date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

FAQ Common questions
Does Meetmeter store any of my meeting data?
No. All data you enter is stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage. It never reaches our servers. We have no access to it and cannot recover it if you clear your browser data.
Do I need to create an account to use Meetmeter?
No. Meetmeter requires no registration, login, or personal information of any kind. You can use the full calculator anonymously from the moment you arrive on the site.
Can I use Meetmeter’s output in a presentation or report?
Yes. You are free to use the cost figures, summaries, and screenshots produced by Meetmeter in internal presentations, reports, or team discussions. We only ask that you don’t present them as precise financial calculations — they are useful estimates, not accounting outputs.
Can I republish Meetmeter’s blog articles?
Short excerpts with proper attribution and a link back to the original are welcome. Full reproduction without written permission is not permitted. If you’d like to syndicate content or collaborate, get in touch via the contact page.
Is Meetmeter GDPR compliant?
Meetmeter is designed to be privacy-preserving by default. The calculator collects no personal data and stores everything locally in your browser. If you use Meetmeter with real salary data for identifiable employees, you are responsible for ensuring your own GDPR compliance in that context.
Can I use Meetmeter in client workshops or training sessions?
Yes. Using Meetmeter as a facilitation or illustration tool in workshops, training, or consulting engagements is permitted and encouraged. What is not permitted is rebranding or reselling Meetmeter itself as your own product or service.
