01 Owner and operator
In compliance with Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), the following identifying information is provided:
Service name: Meetmeter
Website: meetmeter.io
Nature: Personal project, not a registered commercial entity
Country of operation: Spain
Contact: meetmeter.io/contact
Meetmeter is a personal project operated by a private individual based in Spain. It is not a company, society, or registered commercial entity. The service is provided free of charge with no commercial transaction involved.
02 Purpose of the service
Meetmeter is a free, browser-based tool that calculates the real-time economic cost of meetings based on participant roles and hourly rates. It also publishes editorial content — articles and guides — related to meeting culture, engineering productivity, and team management.
The service is provided for informational and productivity purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, accounting, or employment advice of any kind.
The figures produced by Meetmeter are estimates based on data entered by the user. They are useful approximations intended to raise awareness of meeting costs — not precise financial outputs. They should not be used as the sole basis for any financial, contractual, or employment decision.
03 Intellectual property
All content published on meetmeter.io — including but not limited to the calculator interface, source code, design, written articles, illustrations, and data visualisations — is the intellectual property of the Meetmeter project owner, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
This content is protected under Spanish intellectual property law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/1996, Ley de Propiedad Intelectual) and applicable international conventions.
Linking to meetmeter.io is permitted without prior authorisation. Quoting short excerpts from blog content is permitted with proper attribution and a direct link to the original source. Using the calculator’s output in internal documents, presentations, or reports is permitted and encouraged.
Reproducing, distributing, or publicly communicating any content from meetmeter.io in whole — or in substantial part — without prior written authorisation is prohibited. Modifying, adapting, or creating derivative works based on Meetmeter’s content or code without permission is prohibited. Using Meetmeter’s name, logo, or visual identity in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation is prohibited.
04 Liability
The operator of Meetmeter makes every reasonable effort to keep the content accurate and the service available, but makes no warranties of any kind — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the service or its content.
Meetmeter is a tool for awareness and productivity. The operator shall not be liable for any decisions — financial, operational, employment-related, or otherwise — made on the basis of the estimates produced by the calculator or the editorial content published on the site.
The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. Meetmeter may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or causes outside the operator’s control. No liability is accepted for any loss or inconvenience arising from service interruptions.
05 External links
Meetmeter’s blog articles may contain links to external websites for reference or further reading. These links are provided in good faith. The operator of Meetmeter has no control over the content of external sites and accepts no responsibility for their accuracy, availability, or privacy practices.
The inclusion of a link to an external site does not constitute an endorsement of that site or its content.
06 Governing law
This Legal Notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute arising from the use of meetmeter.io that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
Users based in the European Union may also have access to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform for out-of-court resolution of disputes.
Where Spanish law provides greater protection than the user’s local law, Spanish law applies. Where the user’s local consumer protection law provides greater protection, that law applies to the extent required.
